Quality Control Technician
About Very Good Manufacturing:

Our first R&D Facility in Fort Worth has four high speed bottling and canning lines, and a full research & development lab on site for private-label brands, new beverages, and in-house testing. We tripled in size and output in 2023, and we have multiple larger facilities planned for 2024 and 2025. About the role:
Our Quality team plays a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety throughout the facility. Reporting to the Director of Quality, the Quality Control Technician (QC Tech) performs standardized quality control checks to ensure material, ingredient and product conformity. This is a unique opportunity to get in early at a fast-growing company, and work directly for a highly experienced Quality Manager at our new Fort Worth location.
Compensation:
$18 - $24 per hour
What you'll do:
- Ensure all parameters of food safety and quality are being adhered to and maintained throughout the facility.
- Understand and enforce both Product SOPs to ensure all ingredients are stored to specification, and are tested, used, and recorded according to specification.
- Conduct and record Receiving Inspections, Batch Sheets, and Daily Quality Logs.
- Collect in-process and finished product samples during production shifts. Conduct standardized qualitative and quantitative testing to ensure product consistently meets specifications.
- Follow each product’s QC SOP to monitor machine operations at critical points in the production lines, conduct inspections, and complete Product Quality Logs, to ensure quality and conformity of filled and packaged products.
- Conduct and record Raw and Finished Case Goods evaluations (verify date and lot codes, fill levels, weight, quality inspection).
- Conduct and record Pre-Operational and Post-Operational inspections before/after production shifts.
What you'll bring:
- Strong desire for accuracy and a high level of attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- No prior experience necessary—being smart, meticulous, and willing to learn are key.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Recent graduates are welcome—an Associate's or Bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent combination of education and enthusiasm, will set you up for success.
- Experience in a food or beverage manufacturing facility is a plus, but not required.
- Bonus points for forklift certification.
Physical and environmental requirements:
- The use and wear of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- The ability to move, lift, push, and carry objects up to 50lbs.
- The ability to be on your feet for 8+ hours per day in a manufacturing/warehouse environment with variable temperatures.
