Production Line Lead

About the role:
We are looking for a highly motivated individual to lead, support, and manage a team of operators in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for managing the machines, operations, and team members on the production line, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and production goals.
Additionally, the Production Line Lead supports the Director of Continuous Improvement in fostering process enhancements and maintaining a positive work environment.

Compensation:
$18 - $25 hourly DOE
Schedule:
For our Production Line Lead roles - as our production schedule is growing quickly, and we are adding more shifts on more lines - we will prioritize candidates with general flexibility to work any shift. Currently, our shift times are:
- A Shift (5am-1pm)
- B Shift (2pm-10pm)
- C Shift (8am-4pm).
What you'll do:
- Lead day-to-day operations on the production line, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing performance.
- Set priorities and work plans for your team based on business goals and production schedules, keeping projects aligned with departmental objectives.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, design, and engineering teams to support pilot line setup, process improvements, and new product introductions.
- Troubleshoot and manage repairs according to defined procedures, ensuring rework and quality standards are met with zero defects escaping the area.
- Monitor production metrics and drive performance improvements in key areas such as safety, quality, efficiency, and uptime.
- Support and enforce Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) standards, ensuring all team members complete required safety training, incidents are documented, and hazards are promptly addressed.
- Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement, empowering team members to take ownership of their performance and contribute to process innovation.
What you'll bring:
- Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing or production environment, with the ability to guide, motivate, and develop high-performing teams.
- Strong understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices, continuous improvement, and data-driven problem solving.
- Exceptional organizational and record-keeping skills, maintaining accountability and accuracy across production activities.
- Hands-on problem solver with the ability to quickly learn new systems and processes — and teach them effectively to others.
- Demonstrated commitment to Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) standards, leading by example to maintain a safe, compliant workplace.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly convey information and collaborate across teams and leadership levels.
- Analytical mindset with experience using data collection and analysis tools to track performance, identify trends, and drive improvements.
- A proactive, innovative attitude — able to prioritize competing demands, stay calm under pressure, and make confident decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be 21+ years of age or older.
