Electro-Mechanical Technician

The job
Very Good runs four production lines under one roof, two bottling and two canning, plus the tank room that feeds them. We blend, bottle, and can distilled spirits and ready-to-drink cocktails for the biggest beverage-alcohol brands in the world. When a line stops, about half the time it is a mechanical problem and half the time it is electrical. This job exists because we need someone who works both sides: trace the circuit to the dead sensor, then pull the gearbox behind it and rebuild that too.
- Get stopped lines running again. Find the fault, fix it, and own the root cause afterward.
- Electrical: Allen-Bradley CompactLogix and Micro800 PLCs, PanelView HMIs, VFDs and servos, and the sensors and vision systems hanging off them.
- Mechanical: bearings, gearboxes, chains, belts, pneumatics, pumps, seals.
- PMs, line changeovers, and the utilities: compressors, chillers, RO and water treatment, the CIP skid.
- Log what you fixed and what parts it took in the CMMS, and tell the other shift what they are walking into.
What it takes
- 3+ years of hands-on industrial maintenance on production or packaging equipment, with real depth on both the electrical and the mechanical side.
- Safe troubleshooting of live control circuits with a multimeter, 480V three-phase and 24VDC. You read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings and follow lockout/tagout every time.
- Enough PLC ability to pull up I/O and follow the logic to the problem. We are not asking you to write programs.
- Able to work first or second shift as the production schedule requires.
- High school diploma or GED, or equivalent experience. At least 21 years old.
Helps, but not required: food, beverage, or spirits manufacturing. Filling, capping, labeling, or case-packing equipment. VFD setup. Welding (MIG, TIG, or stick). Refrigeration or HVAC certification. Spanish.
This is the wrong job for an electrician who will not touch a gearbox, or a mechanic who treats the panel as off-limits. Our maintenance department is small, and you would be a big part of it.
The deal
$30 to $45 per hour depending on experience, plus overtime, shift differentials where they apply, and a discretionary performance bonus. Full-time, on-site in Fort Worth. Hourly roles do not include PTO or benefits yet. We are working on it.

Fine print
This position works in and around an active production facility: moving machinery, forklift traffic, glass, and ethanol vapors, with noise and temperature variation. It requires standing, walking, kneeling, climbing ladders, and working in tight or awkward positions for extended periods, and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds. This is a safety-sensitive position: lockout/tagout procedures apply, and PPE is required in designated areas.
